I. Overview

Built in 1954, the Farm is located to the east of Zhangguangcai Hill, southwest of Hailin City and northwest of Ning'an City. And geographically, it is 128°44'28''--129°3'37''E, 44°1'44''--44°24'23''N. In its east, it is adjacent to Jiujie Township and Junmazhang of Hailin City, and in its south, it is adjacent to Shalan Township and Sanling Township of Ning'an City. In its north, it is adjustment to Forest Bureau and Changting Town of Hailin City. And in its west, there is 200km of vast forests that people have never set foot in.

Total area of the land is 258,000 mu, including 105,000 mu of arable land, 56,000 mu of forest, 18,000 of prairie, and 3,000 mu of water. The Farm is mainly covered by brown forest soil. The Farm is 300-430m above the sea level, and is surrounded by mountains in 2 sides. It faces the prairie and the entire landscape takes the shape of wave, and is suitable for the development of animal husbandry.

The climate here is middle- latitude continental monsoon, average forest -free days is 127, the accumulated temperature across a year is 2400---2500 ℃, and the average temperature is 3.4 ℃.

Total population of Hailin Farm is 6,670, including 500 state-owned enterprise workers.

II. Business outline

Agricultural production: annual output of 40,000 ton of grain and bean, including 2,000 ton of wheat, soybean, corn, rice, and sweet leaf chrysanthemum. There are 4,300 cows with annual output of fresh milk of 10,000 ton.

Industrial production: 8,000 ton of wheat powder, 500 ton of soybean oil, 4,000 ton of bean cake, 3,000 ton of feed , 200 ton of steviosides, and 6,000 ton of seeds.

A total asset of the Farm is RMB130 million Yuan, and annual produce is RMB160 million, and the balance rate is 38%.

The Farm has 56,000 mu of forest, and the forest coverage ratio is 16.9%, and the greening coverage ratio is 38%. So far, the Farm has already reached Grade II national-level ecological pilot area.
