The Heilongjiang Qingfeng Farm is located in Hulin City, which is against the towering Wandashan Mountain in the north, adjacent to the long snake Muleng River in the south and faces Russia across the Ussuri River in the east.

The farm, build in 1963 , covers the land control area of 924,000 mu (1 mu = 0.0667 hectare), including the cultivated land of 431,000 mu, woodland of 86,000 mu and grassland of 100,000 mu. It has the total mechanical output of 88,000 KW, with the total population of 14,000 persons including 5,804 employees.

Through the efforts and struggle of two generations of Great Northern Wilderness exploiters, the farm has already built into a large- and medium-sized, powerful and state-owned farm with the annual grain and bean production of 170,000 ton, gross domestic products of RMB 360 million yuan, and annual total profit and tax of 11.56 million yuan, which features with the all-round development of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery, and the comprehensive operation of industry, commerce, transportation, building industry and service. The farm was awarded by the Heilongjiang Provincial Government as the "Cultural Construction Model Farm", by the Heilongjiang Provincial Agricultural-reclamation Bureau as the "Civilization Unit Model".
