The Farm No. 8511 in Heilongjiang Province is a state-owned agricultural enterprise affiliated by the Heilongjiang Agricultural-reclamation Bureau, which integrates the agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, industry, municipal, social and scientific works, education, and culture into one entity. The farm is situated in the administrative region of Mishan City, Hulin City and Baoqing County located at the east of Heilongjiang Province. The farm lies in the mesothermal continental monsoon climate zone, with the land resources area of 546.14 square kilometers., which is suitable for the breeding of milk cow and the planting of the agricultural crops such as soybean, corn, wheat and etc and the commercial crops such as white pumpkin seed, small red bean and etc.

With the nearly 50 years of development and construction, the farm built in the year 1956 now has 4,501 employees, including 1,247 scientific and technical personnel, and, in recent years, there are 5 scientific and technological achievements reached the advanced level in China. In 2004, the farm's gross social product reached RMB 530 million yuan. For the agriculture, the farm has the cultivated land of 250, 000 mu (1 mu = 0.0667 hectare), with the double-layer operation system, which focuses on the family farm, and the annual yield of grain and bean is 60,000 ton. For the forest industry, there are 300, 000 mu woodland in the farm focusing on the forest operation, with the annual average afforestation area of 1,000 mu or above, the total accumulated timber of 1,000,000 cubic meter and the annual increase of 30,000 cubic meter. Since 2001, the farm has developed the economic forest plantation, and planted the 12,000 mu Russian sallow thorn with large fruit. Nowadays, these sallow thorns have its fruits and the farm forms its production capacity. For the animal husbandry, the farm has given priority to the breeding of milk cow and, with 14,500 head of livestock on hand, is one of the largest milk cow-breeding farm in China. With the unit production of 6,500 kg/cow, the farm has obtained the Milk Cow High Yield Award in China in the successive ten years. For the industry, the farm has paid more attention to the Fukang Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and focused on the preferable development of the dedicated and deep processing of dairy products. The 6 categories and more than 40 varieties of products such as the Wandashan brand milk juice, colostrums peptide, immune globulin, colostrums fat, cow placenta powder, colostrums milk & royal jelly powder and etc produced by the farm are well sold all over the country, what's more, the portion of the products has distributed in the international market.

In recent years, the farm has received many experts, scholars, merchants from America, Russia, Japan, Germany, U.K., France, Canada, Australia, Singapore, EU and other countries and regions to take the official business visit, academic exchanges and business negotiation, and, at the same time, the farm has also sent more than 20 scientific and technical personnel to the countries above to take the academic review. In 2001, the farm is approved by the Ministry of Agriculture as the "Farm Taking the Lead in Implementation of Agricultural Modernization", Awarded as the "1000 Nuisance-free Milk Cow Breeding Sample Base" by the state, and titled as the model unit by the Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee of CCP and Provincial Government, the Heilongjiang Agricultural-reclamation Bureau for several times.
