The Farm No. 8510 of Heilongjiang Province, located at the river flat of the Muleng River and Khanka Lake, against the Wanda Mountain on the north, close to the Khanka Lake on the east, and adjacent to Russia on the south with a borderline of 99 km. The office of the farm is located at the Donghai Town, Jidong County, Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province, P.R. China. With more than 50 years of development and construction, the farm built in the year 1949 has become a medium-sized enterprise specialized in the plant production as its basics, the animal industry as its axis, the tourism industry as its support, and the integrated development and application of forest products, with annual total value of industrial and agricultural production of RMB 180 million yuan.

The Farm No. 8510 features with the preferable regional advantages, rich product resources and convenient transportation. With the total population of 167,940 including 41,250 employees, our farm covers the total area of 760,000 mu (1 mu = 0.0667 hectare), including the cultivated area of 220,000 mu, wooded area of 350,000 mu, water, road other area of 190,000 mu, with very rich mountain products. There are many widely distributed, high-reserves mineral resources such as raw coal, kaoline, gold, natural marble and etc, including the raw coal reserves of 100 million ton. The Mishan Port for China-Russia trade is located at the Dangbi Town in the farm, with the wide border trade perspective.

With the China-Russia border lake--the beautiful Khanka Lake in where the water melts into the sky and the mist covers the waters, the farm faces the Town in Russia and attracts a lot of visitors due to the beautiful lake and mountain and the foreign country's landscapes. Since 1985, the Khanka tourism resort has received 1,600,000 home and overseas tourists in total. The cemetery of Wang Zhen, the former vice-president of P.R. China is here, and the Monument to the "Gen. Wang Zhen Leads Army to Exploit the Great Northern Wilderness" inscribed by Jiang Zeming, the former president of P.R. China stands highly here.

Striding into the new century, the Farm No. 8510 will take the inscription "To Promote the Great Northern Wilderness Spirit, and Take the Lead in Implementing the Agricultural Modernization" given by Jiang Zeming when he visited the agricultural reclamation area and the requirements of "Three-Represents" as the guideline to fully exert the regional and resources advantages and speed up to develop the agriculture, animal industry, tourism industry, forest industry and other industries, and strengthen the construction of "Two-Civilizations".
