No.855 Farm is situated at the lakeside of Xingkai Lake, on the south of the Wanda Mountain. It borders on Mishan City to the southeast and neighbors with the landscape of Qitaihe City, which is also known as the Coal City, to the northwest. The Mishan Railway and the Bomi Highway (connecting Boli and Mishan), which traverses the farm, make the farm's transportation a very convenient one.

At present there is a total area of 772,000 mu of land in the farm, with 340,000 mu of arable land and 320,000 mu of woodland. The land is wide and open with abundant resources, mainly producing crops like soybeans, wheat, and paddy rice. There are agricultural by-products like adzuki beans, kidney beans, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds. It also produces abundantly the wild mountain products and valuable herbal medicines, such as fern, mushroom, black fungus, hedgehog fungus, Chinese gentian, Chinese magnolcavine fruits and many prickle acathopanax roots. The farm's main products are soybean oil, grade flour, rice and further processing of mountain products. The farm boasts a blue sky, clear water and clean environment. It is the manufacturing base of purely natural green organic foods, which is certified by the country. There are abundant underground mineral resources in the farm, with 50 million tons of high quality coal reserves.

The farm is located at around latitude 42° north. The soil is fertile, ideal for planting organic soybeans which contain high oil and protein contents; and also ideal for planting high quality wheat, corns, various food grains and economic crops. In addition, it adapts to develop livestock breeding industry featuring the black and white dairy cattle. No.855 Farm focuses on processing industry of agricultural products and livestock breeding industry featuring dairy cattle for economic growth. Therefore, the farm establishes two major manufacturing bases of the black and white dairy cattle and Simmental beef cows for Wandashan Group Company, a wheat manufacturing base for Beidahuang Wheat Group and a Chinese herbal medicine manufacturing base for Wandashan Pharmaceutical Plant.
